Teaching Practice Phase 2 - Week 4

                         Teaching Practice Phase 2 - Week 4

"Good teaching is more of giving good questions
than a giving of good answers."

Week 4 is from 03/07/2023 to 08/07/2023.

Saturday was a working day as per the time table of Thursday. I was teaching the portions of the chapter Forces in fluids in class IX D and chapter Properties of matter in class VIII B.

This weekend, my internship took an interesting turn as I had the privilege of assisting in classes on two intriguing subjects: Properties of matter and Forces in fluids. These topics are fundamental in understanding the physical world around us, and I was thrilled to be a part of the teaching process.

In the properties of matter class, we explored the different states of matter, the concept of density, and various physical and chemical properties of substances. The teaching strategy used here was a hands-on approach. Students were encouraged to conduct simple experiments to observe changes in matter, which made the learning process engaging and interactive.

The forces in fluids class delved into the fascinating world of fluid dynamics, examining concepts like buoyancy, viscosity, and pressure. The teaching strategy in this class was equally engaging, with demonstrations that showcased the effects of forces in various fluid situations. It was inspiring to witness students' curiosity and enthusiasm as they explored the behavior of fluids.

The emphasis on practical experiments and demonstrations was incredibly effective. It not only made the concepts clearer but also encouraged critical thinking and problem-solving skills among the students.

Furthermore, I made great use of visual aids, interactive discussions, and real-world examples to ensure that the students grasped the concepts fully. The classroom environment was nurturing, fostering a sense of curiosity and excitement for learning.

In addition to the classes, there were a couple of noteworthy school events during the weekend. Firstly, an awareness class on spreading diseases during the rainy season was conducted. Given the importance of health and hygiene, this class was a crucial addition to the curriculum. It provided students with valuable information on preventing diseases during the monsoon season. Secondly, July 5th marked "Basheer Day," which was celebrated with a spirited quiz competition. It was heartening to see students participate with such enthusiasm, showcasing their knowledge and competitive spirit.

Unfortunately, July 6th brought a temporary halt to our school activities due to heavy rainfall. However, it served as a reminder of the unpredictability of weather and the importance of safety.

In conclusion, my school internship continues to be an enriching experience.
